This piece of telecommunication history is a thank you letter from CBC Radio-Canada to a resident of Illinois dated August 6, 1952. CBFT Montreal was broadcasting test signals in the period leading up to its official opening on September 6, 1952 when it became the first television station in Canada to begin regular transmissions.
